Paul
is Shipwrecked
Acts
27
****
On the night of the fourteenth day late at night, the shipmen
thought they were getting close to land but the land was not easy to
reach.
The water was becoming so shallow that the crew feared they
would crash on the rocks!
The men anchored the ship and lowered a small boat to leave the
ship. Paul told the Centurion and soldiers that everyone had to stay on
the ship if they wanted to be saved. The soldiers then cut the ropes and
let the small boat drift away so the crew could not leave.
Paul told the men they should eat, because they had been fasting
for fourteen days and needed to eat to stay healthy. He then took some
bread and thanked God in front of everyone, broke the bread and started
to eat. Then the men began to be cheerful and eat.
